First day after new moon. Venus at about 1/2 disk.

I noticed this two hours after sunset and just before moonset.
Clouds had hidden them earlier. No time to set up tripod for longer,
slower lens, so shot braced against a porch support with 200mm,
then cropped virtually to pixels.

Then back into clouds less than a minute after this shot,
and below the horizon in five more.
