In 2006, circumference 389in, Height 57 feet, avg span 107 feet
points 473. This is larger than the listed National Champion.

The current National Champion is 432 points, but when the tree shown here was submitted, a previous Big Tree Measurement rule requiring no forks below 4.5 feet had been removed only recently. Texas Forest Service was reluctant to accept a tree branching at 3 feet so quickly after the rule change.
