Vaux's Swift Chaetura vauxi
Uncommon migrant, April through May and September through October, in all terrestrial areas, but a strong tendency for the Coastal and Lowlands regions in spring and Mountains and Desert regions in fall.
Habitat: Open sky, frequently over water, forest, or residential areas.
Best locations: Whelan Lake Bird Sanctuary, Mission Trails Regional Park, Balboa Park, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Tijuana River Valley.
