Common spring migrant and summer resident, March through June, in Coastal and Lowlands region. Uncommon fall migrant and winter visitor, primarily in Coastal and Lowlands regions. Rare migrant at lakes in Mountains and Desert regions.
Habitat: Snags around lakes.
Best locations: Lake Hodges, Lindo Lake.
