BUMPUS BUTTE

This is one of the many cliffs in Yellowstone National Park that over time have been partially covered by trees and sage brush. What you see is the top. If you get closer to the river you can see the bottom half which is mostly sand-colored rocks and gravel. Bumpus Butte is near a favorite black bear watching spot.
