St. James Soda Fountain. Named after the former pharmacist who was the first first black women who practiced that profession. She lived at the back of the building where we stayed. Catherine Hepburn used to hang out here in her early years. She lived in this town. The building was a general store prior to this. Lafayette stopped here to purchase gloves during his last trip to America.
