HAYNES DESCRIPTION:
Known as the DJ254, this was the sixth example of only 47 built. Even so, the survival rate is incredible with 39 still in existence. It was based on the regular Daimler Conquest saloon that was introduced to replace the ageing and expensive Daimler consort. It has a short-stroke engine of 2433cc in an all steel body which is shared with the Lancaster 14. The Conquest was the last Daimler-built popular saloon, as the next car anywhere near the same class was the Jaguar-based 2.5 Litre saloon, introduced in 1962
Sorry that my comments have been a bit hit and miss this week.
I have had quite a bit going on and not got very far, if you know the feeling lol.
Also had some laptop problems as well...I will catch up over the weekend.
Many thanks for your kind comments and support, not forgetting your generous votes as well.
Have a wonderful weekend!
