What a fine day it was down at the ancient fishing village of Miloli'i, a day of
celebration in honor of the Voyaging Canoe, Hokule'a, returning on the last leg
of its "Mahalo Sail" around the islands, after completing its
4 year "Malama Honua" voyage around the World.

It seemed so fitting that this vessel, which had been greeted by the leaders
and royalty of so many countries was now resting in this tiny bay, happily
surrounded by boisterous keiki, jumping off the landing and swimming and
laughing and paddling around her hulls.
Truly living up to her name, "Star of Gladness."

Mahalo nui to Hokule'a and her incredibly friendly crew, and to the people
of Miloli'i who rolled out the Aloha Carpet in true Hawaiian fashion...
