Hi-tech Coyote in a hi-tech place. Coyote with radio collar and ear tag part of a study by wildlife biologists in cooperation with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. http://urbancoyoteresearch.com/ Coyote #351 (Batavia Coyote)is a male that was born in 2008 (it just had its 2nd birthday this month). It was originally captured at the Spring Valley Nature Center in Schaumburg, IL, and was probably born near there (its parents were radio collared there as well). It left its natal group in March 2009, and settled in Batavia by the end of April and represents a minimum dispersal distance of 21 miles.
