I'm having a good time with the 10D -- although it's my first 35mm camera, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm using Canon's 100-400 L IS lens (with AI SERVO focus mode on the 10D) for most of the flying bird pictures. The ImageStabilization makes a huge difference tracking flying birds (there's a PAN mode on it). The IS is very nice (in non-PAN mode) for all kinds of other handheld shooting. I love it.
Gordon,
Thanks for the kind words on my eagle images. It's clear to me though, that you have this bird thing nailed! Keep it going!!!
How do you like your 10D? Any of the rumored focus problems? What lens do you use got the bird flight shots? I now shoot with an Olympus E-20, but have been considering the 10D.
