I am told that the "star" you see to the right [and above] of the moon is the planet Venus.
Grand Manan is a small island sitting in the Bay of Fundy just off the New Brunswick mainland. Most of the inhabitants and businesses are located on the eastern side of the island while the western part remains rugged for the most part.
Long Eddy Point is one of a few lighthouses that lie on the western side of the island and is a favourite spot for watching sunsets. The island is not very wide and the drive there from the main road is a short one.
