Strong northwest winds made for choppy seas on the west side of the Cabot Trail. Many of the whale watch tours in Cheticamp and Pleasant Bay had to close down for a few days. To show how different the weather can be around the trail, the whale watch tours on the east side at Ingonish were operating just fine.
