She is spending 3 weeks in the Summer cycling the east coast of Canada with her friend. They started the journey in Gaspe, Quebec and made their way to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. When I snapped this pic at the Cheticamp Park Information Centre she was on her way to catch the ferry over to Newfoundland.
I use to be into cycling (have done long distance trips from Montreal to Ottawa in one day (the return trip is a killer, especially with 75 extra pounds on the bike rack in high humidity and heat), Kingston to Ottawa in one day (ran into an accident scene which was quite sobering, especially having all those cars whizzing by me all day...some young fella had fallen off a farm tractor and a yellow tarpaulin covered his lifeless body but his boots were still visible, sticking out from underneath), Montreal to Vermont and even thought about cycling across Canada, coast to coast (that was back in my much younger days and I'm now far from the shape I was in back then....but have not lost the adventurous spirit) so have a curiosity when I run into a fellow cyclist.
