Once mostly used by hunters and emergency Search and Rescue teams, thermal monoculars are becoming increasingly popular with wildlife enthusiasts and photographers looking for nocturnal creatures. A popular subject is owls. This is a photo taken off someone else's phone with my iPhone. He is the owner of this image but gave me permission to share it for educational purposes. I was blown away by the image quality.

Any blurriness was due to me trying to steady my iPhone while pressing the shutter button.
