A boreal owl starts to wake up at dusk after a day spent roosting on top of an outdoor lamp. The corner spot provided the owl shelter from the cold temps that day. The owl would have likely flown to the roosting spot when the lamp was still on. I am not sure how much warmth the lamp produced.
