I stand in a field of tall grass with the occasional dandelion peeking through. Around me, bobolinks, redwing blackbirds and sparrows flit about. In the distance, perched contently on a wooden post is an adult male snowy owl, a little out of place for the setting. The humidex today was 29* C. Summer is but a few weeks away. Yet the snowy owl seems to be quite at home.
