I saw the owl fly across the road and disappear into a field. I drove back about fifteen minutes later to search for it. I was so surprised to see it perched fairly low at the top of a tree. Blue sky behind and sunlight right on the owl. And there is even a small mound where I could walk up on to get close to eye level with the owl. This usually doesn't happen often.
