There is an influx of snowy owls southward this Fall. Many reports from Quebec starting in early November. This past week snowy owls have been reported in places like Maine, New Jersey, Minnesota, Idaho, Wisconsin, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, District of Columbia, Vermont, New Hampshire, Michigan, Rhode Island, Connecticut, many locations in Quebec, Presqu'ile Provincial Park, etc.
Check all the local hotspots including places like French Hill Road, Renaud, Frank Kenney, Wall Road and other areas nearby in Orleans and Navan. These places used to have their share of snowy owls a number of years back but not much lately. This will be a good winter to recheck these locations. Same with the west end of Ottawa. Of course, it goes without saying east of Casselman is a great place to look as well.
