Sunset on Petrie Island. The nest is solidly anchored and survived some recent strong winds. Mostly overcast but the sun peeked through for just a few minutes. Taken with Canon 40D, 400 5.6L lens, Canon TC 1.4x, Gitzo tripod, picnic table for extra height and LiveView focusing. Timer shutter release. The image is 85% of full-frame. The warm light low in the sky really helped with LiveView focusing because it enhanced contrast.
