This was photographed last Spring in Ottawa. The owls have nested in the same hole for the last 2 years and perhaps longer.

My eyes may be playing tricks on me, but a close look with the binoculars recently shows that someone or something managed to climb up there and stuff a lot of broken branches into the nest hole.
