This is the winter to see owls in eastern Ontario and Quebec. A number of northern hawk owls have already been seen at various locations.

Great grays are expected down here as well (they already are). Ran into a couple who told me the location of a great gray owl not too far from where I live. They saw it on Sunday and showed me the photo.
