What a great day of birding, all along this one stretch of road. It was very quiet except for the birds and one other vehicle.
In addition to the Upland Sandpiper, an Eastern Towhee was taking a bath in a puddle on the road right in front of me....watched it for a minute. Male and female Common Yellow-throats doing the same thing. Half a dozen Cedar Waxwings, Baltimore Oriole, American Goldfinch, numbers of Eastern Kingbirds and sparrows along with other birds.
