This owlet picked the wrong time to fall out of the nest. For a week it would rain and shower on and off. Barely noticed it in the dim light as the owlet was half its size due to feathers being all wet and matted down. A couple of cool nights during this stretch of precipitation made it difficult for it to dry out its feathers and retain warmth.
