Red-shouldered Hawk (nesting pair)

Photographed a red-shouldered hawk perched next to the road. I've seen it at the same location for 2 consecutive days and think it is on territory. At one point it was circling above me and calling. Its call is loud and unmistakable.

Later it was seen being chased and harassed by crows. Although I found the above location, a birder tipped me off about another location where red shouldered hawks had nested last summer. They tend to use the same nest year after year so good chance it'll nest at the same location. Will be looking out for them.

Here's an interesting story. This year at another location, great-horned owls had taken over a red-shouldered hawk nest (from last year). Red-shouldered hawks were seen harassing the great-horned owls this spring. Last I heard, the owls had abandonned the nest even though they had been sitting on it since late February.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to provide either of the locations.
