Gypsy plane on the way to K-53.

2 or 3 Gypsy aircraft were flying to Cho Do Island in July 1954 for a regularly scheduled
supply and mail run. Some enlisted men were invited to go along and enjoy a swim on the beautiful beach while the aircraft were being unloaded and re-loaded with mail, etc. Dave Jordan is on one plane photographing the other C-47 along side just before arriving at Cho Do. F-86's had escorted us part way and at times were wing tip to wing tip with us and waving to us. Boyd Huckleberry of Salem, Indiana and Jack Hayslett from Roanoke, VA were passengers along with Dave Jordan of Palmyra, NY. There were several others whose names I have forgotten. I believe some of the men on that trip were Bob Jones of Okla, Dick Grimm of St Marys,O and George [Radar] Phillips of Ottumwa, Iowa.
