This is one of few places to stop. Unfortunately this is also a place to get substandard mass-food.
I made such experience many times since I stopped here for the first time as far back as 1992.
I am sorry, but in all these years 1992-2006 I cannot remember any single time, in which we
would leave Crouching Lion with pleasant culinary memories. There, we said it.

I used to stop in the rather very plain Puwalu'u restaurant (see following images,) but we
changed our opinion 2006. Puwalu'u is now with new ownership and is not what it once was.
As of 2006 we would not recommend ANY restaurant along the North Shore. This is maybe
a strange situation on an Island with so many millions of visitors, but its real indeed.

Recommendation to get food: Stop at the shrimp stands past Kahuku.
