This 366 Foot Curved Tunnel, Blasted Out Of The Precambrian Crystalline Rock Was Enlarged In 1937 And Is Some 1600 ft. Above The River. Construction Of This Section Of Track Was Estimated To Have Cost $140,000 Per Mile.
