Passing westward at the Lake O'Hara road the Plow Train decends the 2.2% grade that begins in earnest here.
Before the advent of the Spiral Tunnels the grade down to Field was in excess of 4%. In those days this stretch
of track was called the "Big Hill" a moniker that that some still use to this day.
