Parks Canada and all the effected parties have shooting avalanches down to a science. Highway 1 is closed on either
side of the shoot, the railway has its plow in place, the highways people have their machinery ready to go, and the
helicopter pilot and bombadier are ready to drop the charges. The drone of the helicopter gets quieter as it dips
into the col - delivering the charges equipped with their two minute delay. Once the charges are dropped, the machine
swings away, gaining altitude as it hovers above the maelstrom.
