The morning sunshine has been replaced by a powerful early afternoon thunderstorm that is
spewing walls of rain as Train 563 works westward toward Nelson. Our camera point is now at the
extreme west end of the bridge. The Nelson, Boundary and Rossland Subdivisions are an all EMD
railroad these days, refreshing in an age dominated by GE power. Note the concete trestle bents
strategically placed in case of fire.
