Not sure what is going on with this bird. The first I noticed with this 'disease'. Now I've observed a Chickadee with it also. Comments and ideas are welcomed!
Abnormalities like this are now seen around the world in wild bird populations. Not only do pesticides maim and cause what is seen in this photo, it is also estimated that 72 million birds are killed by pesticides in the United States alone each year. Add the rest of the world and you will properly be getting near the Billion mark. Yes mankind is truly a unique specimen, everything for the almighty dollar with no regard to the damage he does to the natural world. Your portfolio by the way is excellent.
