This photo was taken in the same area where I photographed my first Painted Bunting last year. Unfortunately, the quaint little pond has been filled in and a new building stands there now. The hideous (to me) background in this shot is a parking lot!!! At least the birds are still coming there, as the surrounding fields are not mowed and have lots of tall grass and wild flowers. Plus the area is near Lake Conway.
