Florida International AirShow 2009 Blue Angels

The US Navy Blue Angels headlined the 2009 Florida International AirShow in Punta Gorda at the Charlotte County Airport. The Blue Angels fly the F/A-18 Hornet fighter/attack aircraft. The show consisted of aircraft displays and performances. The Static Tarmac Display area included B25 Panchito, Quicksilver P51D Mustand, Curtiss SB2C Helldriver, US Air Force Reserve Jet Car, C130 Hurrican Hunter, assorted Warbirds and more.
The first plane of the show was Blue Angel Number 7. Blue Angel Number 7 originally was a jet training aircraft in numerous Air Forces through out Eastern Europe. Today it is used at each show to give orientation flights for local media and starts the show.
The show included performances by many of the above mentioned aircraft as well as Barnstormers, Wing Walkers, the F-15, F-16 and the Blue Angels. "Fat Albert" started the Blue Angle portion of the show.
