Arches National Park, Utah

Arches National Park is a must see park. It is one of my favorites. The colors of the rock and the clear blue sky are unbeievable. As I took a picture and saw the vivid colors, I thought they look unreal. But it was real. The shear size of the acrhes and fins can only be realized when you stand next to one. Fins are large rock structures that through erosion are now narrow tall structures. Many of the arches and structures have names, some don't. When we did not know the name we got creative and made it up! I noted the ones where we made the name up. One of the most challenging hikes we did was the hike to the Delicate Arch especially because the wind was gusting 30-40 mph, the sun was strong and hot and it was an elevation hike of 480 feet. It was a victory to turn that last ledge and see the Arch in all it's glory!
