Oh my, what one year, seven months and sixteen days make. We tried this hike in March of 2005 but didn’t get very far because it snowed on us. This time out was a little different. On a beautiful, sunny, no clouds in the sky Saturday, 8 unofficial hikers got together to once again try the Four Peaks trio of Brown’s, Amethyst, and Four Peak Trails. We arrived at the trailhead at about 9:45 AM. In the hiking group this time are: Alejandra, Devarajan, Gopi, Sridhar, Sudarshan, Suzana, and Cheng-chieh’s mom, who we will just call Mom. Oh, yeah, and me.
Loop completed. We are back at the trailhead. It has become much more crowded since we started. This is a popular area. Covering the three trails, Brown's, Amethyst, and Four Peaks, along with a side step to Brown's saddle is about 4.3 miles.
