Infrared photographs shot the old fashioned way...using Kodak HIE film....on the technical side...all these images were made with a Nikon F70....24-120mm lens...#25 red filter....and camera set arbitrarily (HIE has no DX code) to 200 ISO...but...the exposure is set manually, almost always, on a bright sunny day, to f/16 for 1/60sec, occasionally bracketing to 1/30 sec... UPDATE...the above mentioned shooting data has become academic...as of December 2007 Kodak HIE has been discontinued...I have one more roll in the fridge....after that there are other emulsions available...Ilford SFX...or the newer Rollei IR820C...of the two options the Rollei has the greater sensitivity to the red end of the spectrum

I've tried IR with film and digitally but I much prefer the effect that IR film produces. Great gallery, particularly like the sepia landscapes.
