Denman Island

Canadians have long rejected US attempts to influence our economy, never more so than during the current cretinous American government...try and claim the oppressed main ground, and local rebirth will always triumph

as for renaming Lake Ontario, get real, sober up, and tuck your shirt into your pants,,,the theatre of delusion often goes too far

The exposed roots and moss-covered stump make a wonderful symbol of endurance. Whatever pressures arrive from outside, the land has its own way of reclaiming itself....V

Strong life force in this tree. Just another diversion from his incompetence.

It will always be Lake Ontario…always. Canada is strong as the tree represents. V

It is a beautiful example of nature's resilience. When a tree is cut down or damaged, as long as the roots remain healthy and anchored in the soil, they continue to draw nourishment, allowing the stump to produce new shoots. As for what's happening right now with that other madman who wants to de-baptize the lakes, gulfs, and oceans—I'm speechless.

This tree seems to be trying to escape this world!
A powerful and provocative statement that should resonate widely!

Beautiful find and photo. I'm 100% sure that stump has more intelligence than any of our current government officials, certainly more than the orange dotard.

I wish our Australian pollies were as smart as Carney. They just piss into the wind and hope nobody notices they are getting wet.
Amazing how resilient nature is, hope Canada stays as resilient as this tree.

Nice observation BTW. V!

Here's to any claiming and local rebirthing that can still happen. May we all outlive the current cretins!! And to this image: World within a world...well seen; well captured! Thank you for bringing it to us.
