welcome....on hold

American Robins (TURDus Migratorius), have long been welcome north of the 49th parallel...however, since the takeover of the USA by finally-out-of-the-closet-billionaires, led by the simpleton President Donald Tariff, relations have changed..of course we can still co-exist, but friendship is on hold for the next four years...unless American voters come back to their senses, Canada may have to annex the USA, making it the 11th province, for sure a troublesome addition to the family

Beautiful shot of the alert Robin with bright red breast (or perhaps orange) under the vivid blue sky. Blissfully free (for the most part) from millionaires and politics and their freedom is somewhat enviable.

Subject and setting are both so compelling here!
One can feel the sun here!

I'm sure he feels much safer there than here.

...at least the bird has no clue!

la nature se soucie peu du politique mais en subit malheureusement les effets ! jolie prise ! v

It would be nice if people, like birds, didn’t care about borders or money. But alas, half of the citizens in my country have lost their marbles and I fear we are headed for dark times.

"Free as a bird"... There is no frontiers for them but the struggle for survival is no less real for the species...

Maybe political climate change will cause me to migrate too.

Fabulous photo of this colorful Robin.

These haven't shown up in my neighborhood yet unlike last winter when the lakes barely froze up.Snow and cold this year.

I just used my sharpie to sign an Executive Order renaming them "Canadian Robins".

We can still welcome the birds that cross into Canada, so blithely unaware of the turmoil. Perhaps if we annex the USA we can rename this species to Canadian Robin.

I would love to be part of Canada. I don’t think many people in Canada want to be part of this s$#t show. The bird looks quite beautiful in your capture. V

Nice thought: Canada should indeed annex the USA. That would solve multiple problems at once.

Love his red breast and how he is looking into the frame. Best to buckle up. The next four years are going to be a wild ride for us all.

Nicely lit and posed shot of this robin. American voters failed to come to their senses before the election, so I wouldn't hold my breath for anything good to happen in the next four years.

At least the birds continue to fly back and forth, though not so good for local economy from day trippers who choose not to ferry the 22 miles from Canada.

nicely captured in that setting.V.

The Robin enjoys the sunlight and is nicely framed by the branches in your great image. Lucky for the bird it has no notion of politics V!
