big apple

known locally as the Big Apple, this neon sign dates from 1948...the Magee Grocery was sold in 2014, torn down, and replaced by a supermarket...yet the old sign was saved and still glows on the same corner

We have two independent grocers nearby who get almost all our business. Hope they stay because neither has a sign like this.
