Yes, the beautiful autumn colors are just a red herring distracting us from the life-and-death battles being fought in this season between the plants attempting to disperse their seeds for future regeneration, and animals trying to eat or collect these seeds to prepare for survival through winter ... as symbolised by the mood and dynamism of your photo.
