Tsagarada, Thessaly, Greece

a dendrophile's delight, the adventurous might visit Greece to see this 1,000 year old plane tree, reckoned as the oldest one in Greece, and one of the oldest in Europe...the Pelion (Pilio) peninsula is covered in forests of plane trees and chestnuts such as the bloomer on the left

a bonus attraction is the Lost Unicorn Hotel and Restaurant, found here in Paraskevi Square, and the nearby sandy beach at Mylopotamos
