Rotorua, New Zealand

there are some moments when we wonder whether to protect the camera from conditions, or risk the shot so as to come away with an image..its's usually best just to go for it..

Nikon D80
Nikkor18-200mm - 1/750s f/8.0 at 50.0mm iso160 full exif

I'm glad you went for it: this is great! Nowadays, you have your TG to handle these kind of outings. ~BV~

Yup, throw caution to the wind (not literally of course!) in these situations, you never know when or if you'll ever be back...

It's an instinct to protect the gear! Cool moment that shows that suggestion...

the wind raises the waves, instinctively, she protects her camera,

Superb blur around the person. Great textures of the little waves appearing in 3D on the image.

A nice image. Probably a good place to have a towel with you.

She is either playing it safe or going for a quick grab shot of someone next to her. Don't know which.

I guess we've all debated risk in similar situations!! The red shirt against the misty backdrop is a brilliant touch! V

Great candid. Looks like she's having a hard time deciding.

Well composed and timed. The red shirt was a good choice. "V"
This is one of those instances where insurance on your gear emboldens you.
