Mt Baker - Snoqualmie National Forest

mountainous areas can offer grand vistas, yet can also provide richly atmospheric moments that are tricky to capture, but more photogenic than a plain blue sky

Some gloomy weather but it does make for and interesting sky.

I love the silent stoic mood of the trees and mountain shrouded in thick clouds. Agree that it is more photogenic and preferable (by me at least) to a clear blue sky.

Yes to all the misty mountains this time of year!

Great mood captured with all the fog and silhouettes, and I really like the diagonals running thru the frame.
