landmark

Burnaby

Helen's Children's Wear was a popular clothing store here for more than 50 years...when owner Helen Arnold retired in 2008, the city of Burnaby bought her sign, and modified it to read Heights, as the area was now known as Burnaby Heights

The sign has long been considered a landmark, and judged one of the best examples of kinetic neon in North America, as the little girl swings through a gentle arc

This harks back to a much earlier age, and it is good to know it will continue to shine indefinitely. Love your shot! V
