entrance

Portland, Oregon

the entrance gate to the Japanese Garden, surrounded by trees and native plants, is designed to quiet the mind and refresh the spirit...however one glance upwards and it becomes a stimulating spot in its own right

I've stared at this image for a while and can't make out what's going on LOL :o). I do like all the reflections and the abstractedness of it though

The perspective is dizzying and the lines pointing upwards create a dramatic mood. V

An interesting abstract up-view! V

A stimulatingly quieting view, with those diagonal lines and canopy of softly lit leaves. Soothing, actually.

What a fascinating shot - cool how the tree contrasts with the lines of the entrance V

This wonderful setup makes it less challenging for visitors to find their way and the benefit of nature exposure decreases stress and anxiety...a fine shot..V

This does make a rather fine abstract. Well seen and captured.

Always good to look-up and see a different perspective

Great composition with those lines and the light through the leaves

Love all those lines.

Definitely the way to show this oddity! Chaotic to some may be calming to another!

What a great abstract of this striking entry. I've been there but sure don't remember this!

Reflections and real does give this a busy feel. The orange poles reminds me of The Gates from many years ago.

A great composition that shows this in such a pleasing abstract way. ~BV~
