North Head

Cape Disappointment, WA

sitting on a lava headland 130 ft (40 m) above the Pacific, North Head lighthouse was ideally located to warn ships of near shore dangers...today it is no longer in use, but the location offers good views, and a lot of wind

Bendy trees, so typical of coastal environs...

A case of getting blown away by the scenery.

Reminds me of Cape Spear where the wind-blown trees grow almost horizontally.

Wonderful composition. Nice wind blown tree with the trail circling behind it on its way to the lighthouse. Nice one. V

It looks windy and that looks like Marcia framing up another iconic shot.

A strong "Brittany mood" here with the brave tree tortured by the winds, the powerful lighthouse and the tiny house...

Fine composition, and it does look like it gets a bit windy there, judging by that tree.
