a relaxed stroll through the park offers the best respite from the busyness of city living..it is hardly wild nature, yet in some spots comes close enough

This spot comes very close. You did well to be trustworthy and to avoid a sudden departure. I never get this close to the Australian herons. They bugger off quick smart.

Terrific portrait of this Great Blue Heron in its natural environment. Good job focusing with all those branches. I think it is so cool that slices of Nature can be seen and enjoyed in our otherwise urban environment.
