caution

a riverside walk should prove relaxing and refreshing, yet is not without it's moments of anxiety and concern..luckily the caution sign is visible in winter months

A bit of a catch 22. The sign is only visible when it doesn't matter.

Always good to keep your wits about you!

Great place to set up a stand selling helmets.

This is really an intriguing image with this tangle trying to swallow the sign!
If there is so many that it warrants a sign there must be some to be found on the ground.
You could bring a club and hit those back toward where they began their flight!

I think Marcia is right. You should just wear a hard hat while you are on this walk!

Not my idea of a fun place to wander.

And may the return of foliage erase this cautionary observance to the rare flying golfball so one may concentrate on the nesting variety.
Hank Vander Velde02-Mar-2022 02:59
Neat shot, but can one see the sign once the leaves are out?
Julie Oldfield02-Mar-2022 01:55
Not much of a greenway!
Walter Otto Koenig02-Mar-2022 01:10
Probably added at the urging of the attorney of the golf club.
Dennis Hoyne02-Mar-2022 00:40
Be very afraid. I guess they had to post this sign to satisfy the lawyers.

Sunnny with a chance of golf balls. Makes me wonder if anyone has ever been struck. I hope not.
Don01-Mar-2022 21:17
Maybe it is only in winter that you can see the golf balls coming, in which case it makes sense (?!?) to hid the sign amongst the foliage at other times of year.

We have to be similarly alert on a favourite walk of ours. V

Dangerous game!
joseantonio01-Mar-2022 19:32
flying golf balls can be quite dangerous.V.
Helen Betts01-Mar-2022 19:16
Great sign. It sounds like golf balls are some kind of bird or insect.
Marcia Rules01-Mar-2022 18:58
Always prepare for golf balls on your placid walk. Hard hats required here?
