beyond the horizon

West End

ships from beyond the horizon at anchor in Burrard Inlet wait for an Inner Harbour berth...the pandemic-caused port congestion has been exacerbated by rail lines washed out during the big storm, and highways still slowly re-opening....goods just can't arrive or leave

The choppy sea looks frightening and dramatic. V

Nice documentary shot of this problem that is affecting the US as well. Hopefully the clog will be undone soon.

A very cool shot indeed and Walter's comment is spot on. Someday the backlog will start to flow and we'll be inundated...

a brisk and breezy day, vessels large and small heed the wind.

Neat shot with the ships sitting on the horizon :) Shelves in our grocery stores looking pretty bare - having to forego my daily banana :( V
PS Maybe we'll be able to grow our own bananas soon !!! ha ha.

Neat shot of the activity or inactivity as the case may be.

Sad that the weather has further complicated the shipping issues. I love watching the big ships. Nice shot.

Well-composed capture of these ships awaiting a berth. Sounds similar to the problems we've had here but compounded by the damage from the heavy rains.

Seems like all countries are having major problems receiving goods. Time to start making more of our own stuff.

Like the layers and high horizon line. The barrier in the foreground emphasizes the situation.
