aurora eurolis

the media reported that Northern Lights might be visible last night, but no Aurora Borealis arrived, so settled for the 'Aurora Eurolis' visible in the view east to downtown

it could be argued that there is no such thing as Aurora Eurolis, yet a small swatch of green light did dance on the waves...Euros was the Greek god of the east wind

Maybe no Northern Lights but this beautiful cityscape more than makes up for it

That is lovely and more atmospheric than the other aurora. V

A beautiful long exposure with the colors, clarity and reflections. That small amount of green does stand out nicely and maybe you will have more opportunities in the near future for the aurora. No chance that here for sure. VV

Your Eurolis can be truly inspiring with all the hints of green, purple and red ...may even eclipse the elusive Northern Lights :)....wonderful night shot! V

I went out last night and waited for the aurora - but didn't get any shots at all, so kudos to you for the excellent substitute Eurolis!

This is so lovely David - I love how your exposure has affected the water and reflections. V
PS Our camera club wandered around in the cold expecting a show - glad I stayed home and kept warm :)

Still a pleasant and beautiful night to be out in the cold to capture this wonderful night view. V

It's a beautiful consolation shot in lieu of the better known aurora. Count me a believer.

My wife and I spent hours on a freezing mountainside waiting for the aurora...nothing but bright stars.

Compensates in a way for lack of the other Aurora, and in its own right, is beautiful. V
